Our key findings from February 2024:
- In February 2024, 16,486 clients were seeking debt advice which is 13% lower than the previous calendar month (19,025). This is in line with trends we see each year between January and February
- The emergency funding webpage remains as the most viewed debt information page with 19,568 views in February 2024. The debt consolidation webpage is now second, with 11,956 views
- Almost a fifth (18%) of clients responsible for paying a mortgage were in arrears with their payments in February 2024
- Two in five (39%) clients seeking debt advice in February 2024 were men, which is three percentage points higher than February 2023 (36%)
- In February 2024, 37% of clients were in receipt of Universal Credit, which is two percentage points lower January 2024, yet three percentage points higher than February 2023
- One in three (34%) clients had a negative budget in February 2024, which is one percentage point higher than January 2024
