22 July 2024
StepChange Debt Charity was delighted to join the 2024 Leeds Pride Parade yesterday to celebrate LGBTQIA+ life in Yorkshire.
With its head office in the city centre, Leeds based charity StepChange has been operating for over 30 years, supporting people all over the UK who are struggling with problem debt. This is the first time that the charity has marched in a Pride parade with its LGBTQIA+ staff and allies.
Richard Lane, Chief Client Officer at StepChange who joined the parade yesterday, said:
“As a charity with roots in Yorkshire, it was an honour to represent StepChange at the Leeds Pride Parade and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community across the county
“We’ve helped more than 8 million people with their debt problems in our 31-year history, so we know that debt can happen to anyone – and we want to show that we’re here for all communities across the UK.
“If you’re worried about debt, you don’t have to suffer in silence. StepChange’s free and impartial debt advice service is flexible, with debt advice offered online or over the phone, so you can reach out at a time that suits you. The sooner you reach out for help, the sooner we can support you in getting your life, and finances, back on track.”
