StepChange Debt Charity took home the trophy for “Debt Advice Provider of the Year” at last night’s Credit Awards, Credit Strategy Magazine’s flagship event which celebrates good practice in all aspects of the consumer credit sector.
StepChange has been recognised for its work across a broad range of areas including the development and implementation of StepChange Your Way, its omnichannel client journey. StepChange is the first debt advice provider to allow clients to switch seamlessly between online and telephone advice, making it quicker and easier for them to deal with their debt worries.
The charity’s work in campaigning for and implementing the Breathing Space scheme in 2021 was also recognised, alongside its work supporting people during the cost of living crisis. StepChange has recently developed an online cost of living hub and has collaborated with partner organisations including those in the energy sector to ensure people know where to turn for help.
