National Debtline

National Debtline is a free telephone debt advice service for people in:

  • England
  • Wales
  • Scotland

They run a debt helpline and their website offers advice on free debt solutions.

National Debtline started in 1987 and is part of the Money Advice Trust (MAT).

MAT is a registered charity funded by the government and the private sector. It aims to:

  • Support people with debt in the UK
  • Improve the standards of independent money advice
